2018년 암호화 하락 시장이 지속되고 있음에도 불구하고 OTC(장외거래) 트레이딩은 엄청난 성장을 경험했다고 제네시스 트래이딩은 말한다.

제네시스 고객에게 보낸 최근 이메일에 따르면, 이 회사는 2018년에 OTC 거래량이 전년대비 50% 증가했으며, 대출 사업인 제네시스 캐피털을 시작한 이후 거의 1억 달러에 달하는 대출 및 차용이 발생했다. 제네시스는 또 뉴욕 금융 서비스부로부터 비트라이센스(BitLicense) 승인을 받았다고 전한다.
